ABOUT SHARPSHELL
Sharpshell Engineering, a majority black-woman-owned and managed company was first established in 2008 as a provider of industrial solutions.
In 2012 we expanded our capabilities to include engineering solutions, with a particular focus on offering industrial plant protection and maintenance services.
Our reputation as shutdown specialists is supported by our specialist scaffolding and rope access teams that contribute to our fast turnaround times. We have also established workshops that are local to our key maintenance contracts, to ensure that we are able to provide 24/7 support.
We serve a broad client base (that includes structural engineers, mining houses, petrochemical industries, architects, construction companies, power generation and the retail sector).
Our safety philosophy
We have systems in place that support our commitment and achievement of zero harm to the environment and people. Our hazard identification and risk assessment are core to our safety philosophy and are key to every project we undertake. We are also externally certified by NOSA.
We operate via our three divisions including

engineering, inspections, sand blasting, tank linings, CUI protection.
Industrial Cleaning
an industrial cleaning service or combined with surface preparation for corrosion protection.

Our team encompasses a wealth of diverse yet complementary competencies, and each individual is enthusiastic and committed to their vocation. Our employees include engineers, site agents and skilled artisans (welders, boiler makers) supported by our semi-skilled labour force. Our safety officers and representatives, administrators and supervisors are instrumental in our day-to-day operations and compliance, quality, safety and staying on programme are top of mind for each individual member of the Sharpshell staff contingent.
